Dr. Alison Hadden
Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Dr. Hadden graduated from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina and earned her doctorate from The Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Dental Medicine in Charleston, South Carolina. She then completed a General Practice Residency at Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Hadden and her husband, Kyle, moved to Connecticut in 2009 when Kyle began a professorship at The University of Connecticut. Dr. Hadden and her husband are proud to raise their three wonderful children in Ellington.
Dr. Hadden has always focused on high achievement, graduating as valedictorian of her high school class, summa cum laude with induction into Phi Beta Kappa as an undergraduate, and third in her dental school class with induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors Society. She continues to focus on the most advanced dental training possible as she works to complete training by the world renowned Dr. John Kois at the Kois Institute in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Hadden also maintains membership in the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association, and the Tolland County Dental Society.
Dr. Hadden enjoys spending her down time with her family and pets and is usually found taxiing her kids from one sporting event to another. When she has free time, she enjoys reading, swimming, and baking.
Dr. Eric Whidden
Dr. Whidden grew up in Ellington, CT where he developed a very early childhood interest in dentistry and dental esthetics. He completed a pre-medical course of study at Connecticut College, graduating with high honors and awards for academic excellence and community service. He has won numerous Connecticut State Science awards for his innovative research in oral health. He then attended the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, where he was class president and active in many leadership and volunteer activities.
He graduated #1 in his dental class with Dean's High Honors and was inducted into the elite Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Dental Honors Society Supreme Chapter - the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a dental graduate.
Dr. Whidden has received numerous honors and scholarships including the Elizabeth and Eugene C. Harrison Scholarship, Edmund J. Glen Fund Scholarship, American Dental Association Award of Professional Excellence, Dentsply Award for Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics, and the International College of Dentists Scholar Leader Award.
Dr. Whidden has trained with nationally and internationally renowned cosmetic specialists at elite cosmetic dentistry centers including The Pankey Institute in Florida, The Spear Center for Cosmetics in Arizona, The Dawson Academy in Maryland, and The renowned Kois Center in Washington, where he has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in the areas of dental cosmetics, esthetics, and reconstruction. Now, Dr. Whidden is a Mentor and teacher at the Kois Center, where he actively advances his career through science and evidence based dentistry and creates a pathway for extraordinary professional growth.

Personally, Dr. Whidden is an accomplished pianist, enjoys gourmet cooking and competitive sailing. He truly values the close relationships he has with all his patients and strives for relationships built on trust, compassion, integrity and honesty.
Dr. David Wiegard
Dr. Wiegard grew up and continues to reside in Farmington, CT. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tufts University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He continued his education at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While at UConn, he participated in numerous volunteer groups and teaching opportunities including the Connecticut Mission of Mercy and the Special Olympics of Connecticut. After graduating from UConn, he completed a General Practice Residency at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT.
Dr. Wiegard was awarded the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry and the Horace Wells Senior Student Award from UConn. He regularly takes continuing education courses to keep up to date with the latest dental treatments and technologies. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
When not in the office, Dr. Wiegard can be found on the golf course, working on home improvement projects, and spending time with family. He enjoys getting to know his patients and strives to make them feel comfortable when in his care.
